Proposed Camp Creek Expansion :: Raising the Bar on Amenities

Rendering of Proposed Wellness Center and Pool Area

As South Walton continues to evolve and expand, so do the resources and amenities available to 30A residents. For those seeking a modern golf community with luxurious amenities, Camp Creek may be the perfect fit. Featuring 260 estate-sized lots with an exclusive gated entrance, The St. Joe Company’s newest residential community is a welcome and highly anticipated addition to the South Walton real estate market.

A key component of the Camp Creek community will be its impressive amenity offerings, available through The Clubs by JOE. Members will have stylish, state-of-the-art facilities where they can play, relax and come together with ease. The Clubs by JOE spent nearly a year evaluating the amenities of elite golf communities and announced recently its plan for a $40 million amenity development for the community, the Camp Creek Lifestyle Village.

While details are still being finalized, the vision for this new plan includes a health and wellness center, kids club, casual café, multi-sport court including new tennis and pickle ball courts, leisure pool, playground and a 75-key upscale boutique inn.

The new pools will be a sanctuary during the Florida summer with an active option currently designed as a 6,500 square foot, zero-entry kids pool with water spray features, a tower slide and a 270-foot lazy river along with a proposed 60-foot, adult-only fitness pool on the western edge of the swimming area. Several large decks will accommodate more than 200 chaise lounges while a large shade pavilion and custom cabanas will provide a welcome respite from the summer sun.

The proposed Camp Creek health and wellness center will motivate and inspire its Members and their guests as they attend a spin class, customize their fitness routine with a personal trainer or gather together post-work out. As proposed, the center would include men’s and women’s locker rooms with spa-like “wet lounges”, an outdoor fitness pool and three other multi-purpose rooms.

Rendering of Proposed Wellness Center and Smokehouse Grill

Plans for the pool complex also include a casual dining restaurant on the south side. The proposed concept is a smokehouse with a Creole influence with barbecue as its signature offering. Inviting picnic tables and a fire pit are designed to make the smokehouse’s expansive outdoor seating area a favorite spot to enjoy an evening cocktail or social gathering.

The eastern portion of the site will be dedicated to a variety of athletics courts including eight lighted Har-Tru courts, two courts dedicated to badminton, ping pong and pickleball, bocce ball courts plus a half basketball court and a multi-sport field for outdoor play. In addition, a pro shop and small stadium-style seating area for tournament play is a feature of the tennis complex plan.

The proposed Kids Club completes this area of the expansion plan and will be a retreat for teenagers with a dedicated space to play ping pong, foosball, stand-up shuffleboard or pinball with friends. Vintage video games and a playground are also planned adjacent to the Kids Club.

The new inn is expected to be a 75-key, three-story boutique concept with plans to include a meeting room, men’s and women’s lockers, bar, lounge and dining room. Designs also include a large Creole-inspired outdoor court and gallery from which to sip cocktails while looking out over the golf course landscape, fire pit and activity lawn.
