Jeffrey Vernon
Jeffrey began volunteering as a hospital patient transporter at the age of 16 when his grandmother suffered a massive stroke and sparked his interest in healthcare. After giving over six hundred hours of volunteer service on Saturdays during high school at both North Fulton Regional Hospital and Wesley Woods Geriatric Center in Atlanta, he received a volunteer scholarship and completed undergraduate studies at North Georgia College and State University where he held various leadership positions and graduated with honors. Jeffrey gained a vision to someday serve a healthcare organization in a leadership position.
Jeffrey Vernon has attended Georgia State University s Institute of Health Administration and has completed both the Master of Business Administration and Master of Health Administration. After years of serving as a Patient Care Technician at North Fulton Regional Hospital, Jeffrey served as an administrative resident in 2007 at Barrow Regional Medical Center in Winder, GA, owned by Health Management Associates in Naples, Florida. Jeffrey was then chosen to serve as an Assistant Administrator/VP Operations at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS. River Oaks Hospital continues to be ranked as the #1 Hospital in the state for Spine, Hip and Knee Surgery according to Health Grades. River Oaks Hospital also rose to the top 5% in patient satisfaction. Jeffrey loves to be part of a winning team!
Jeffrey demonstrates a commitment to impeccable customer service, including patients, physicians and employees, and he applies his leadership skills and abilities gained during his MBA/MHA graduate studies and years of service as a patient care technician. Jeffrey elected to return to GA to support his dad s recovery following an accident. He also learned the value of hospice care as he helped guide the family through this process with an uncle.
